Evra — Frequently Asked Questions
1. Where does the name “Evra” come from?
Evra combines two linguistic roots — Ezra (to help) and Evelyn (to desire). Together, Evra reflects the desire for help in health.
Health support should be accessible and inclusive. Evra is designed for adults over the age of 18, regardless of health condition, location, age, or background.
2. What does the Evra logo represent?
The logo shows two arcs embracing one another.
- One arc represents the individual
- The other represents Evra as a supporting health agent
The circle represents ‘whole person health.’
The green background reflects health, renewal, and long-term well-being.
3. Do you take lab tests?
Yes. Evra is lab-agnostic.
This means your results can come from large lab companies, specialty labs, clinics, third parties (including lab-test startups), or international sources. Evra focuses on interpreting the information itself, not where it originated.
4. Does Evra replace a doctor?
No. Evra is explicitly designed not to replace healthcare professionals.
Most people see their primary care doctor only a few times per year. Evra is built for the days in between — helping you stay informed, supported, and on track, while reinforcing that clinical care remains essential.
5. What platforms will Evra be available on?
Evra is built for both Apple (iOS) and Android.
The app will be available through the App Store and Google Play in the Spring.
6. What does Evra actually do?
Evra acts as a personal health agent that helps you understand your health and take action in a more personalized, continuous way.
Evra can help you interpret biometrics and lab results, understand what those signals may mean, and translate them into meaningful next steps through lifestyle, nutrition, and monitoring. It also supports everyday decisions — from scanning a meal or grocery item to understand macros and how it fits into your goals, to accessing meal delivery, prescription refills, and lab test purchases.
Over time, Evra helps you see the bigger picture through 30-, 90-, 180-, and 360-day summaries of your lifestyle and progress, which can also be shared with a caregiver or doctor. Evra also makes it easier to connect with community based on shared health goals or interests, whether that is diabetes prevention, chronic condition management, fitness, or overall wellness.
Evra is designed to close the gap between knowing and doing.
7. How is Evra different from regular chatbots?
Evra includes a chat interface, but it is not a traditional chatbot.
While standard chatbots answer isolated questions, Evra takes a whole-person approach — connecting labs, wearables, symptoms, routines, and goals into a continuous health picture over time.
Evra is intentionally built as a coherent health agent rather than stitching together multiple unrelated AI systems. This approach prioritizes consistency, safety, and privacy.
8. How does Evra think about trust and safety?
Trust and safety are foundational to Evra, especially in health contexts where misinformation or overconfidence can cause harm.
Evra operates under a dedicated Trust & Safety Framework that defines standards for data handling, evidence quality, system behavior, and human escalation.
9. Who is Evra for?
Evra is designed for adults managing or aiming to prevent chronic conditions, including:
- Cardiometabolic health (blood sugar, cholesterol, blood pressure)
- Autoimmune and hormone-related conditions
- Mental health concerns such as depression and anxiety
- Chronic pain and long-term health optimization
Evra recognizes that many people experience multiple overlapping health concerns over time, and that an integrated approach is essential.
10. Where will Evra be launched?
Evra will launch first in the April in United States and India, with additional regions to follow.
11. When will Evra be available to the public?
Evra is currently in private (closed) beta across India and the United States.
